IIRC, it was possible in mutt to delete an atachment from a message,
but leave the message itself intact. I just tried to do this with my
mutt (1.3.25), but it didn't seem to work anymore.
What I did was:
'v'iew attachments
'd'elete attachment
'q'uit to index
(by now, a small 'd'
