Is there a way to use Mutt as a hybrid news client, which would send your posts through NNTP but read other people's posts from a mailbox file, instead of retrieving them through NNTP or fishing them out of a slrnpull-style, one-file-per-article spool ?
Retrieval would be done by something like slrnpull or leafnode (or INN ?) except that it would append the articles to a single mailbox-format file as opposed to creating one file per article.
