NNTP reader?
Hi, does anyone knows if it can be possible to read/subscribe to newsgroups (nntp) with mutt?. I've read there are third-party patches for this, but I would like to find an easier way. -- Leonardo M. Ramé http://leonardorame.blogspot.com

There are some software which tansforms nntp to mail (send to mailbox or present as IMAP), but I would not call it an easier way. At leas for me it was easier to patch and rebuild mutt than get such software working in proper way. The patch works quite good and stable. -- Max

If you pull the articles of a newsgroup with slrnpull, you can read they e.g. with $ mutt -f .slrn/spool/news/de/rec/film/misc Andreas

It would be nice to let slrn store the results in different mbox folders, so I can access them using mutt. -- Leonardo M. Ramé http://leonardorame.blogspot.com
Attached file not exist
When I receive a attached file with latin character, like APRESENTAÇÃO PPGCF.ppt and I choose v and enter, mutt tell me that APRESENTA__O_PPGCF.ppt do not exist! How I could bypass this? I have googled and found a tip: put this on muttrc: charset-hook US-ASCII ISO-8859-1 charset-hook x-unknownISO-8859-1 charset-hook windows-1250 CP1250 charset-hook windows-1251 CP1251 charset-hook windows-1252 CP1252 charset-hook windows-1253 CP1253 charset-hook windows-1254 CP1254 charset-hook windows-1255 CP1255 charset-hook windows-1256 CP1256 charset-hook windows-1257 CP1257 charset-hook windows-1258 CP1258 But this not solved the problem. If I salve that file, it is opened properly. -- Marcelo Brazil Linux user number 487797
