Can't see sentmail file of 2Gb
This had me *really* confused for a while, my sentmail disappeared. I finally realised that the file was 2Gb and reducing this has fixed the problem. -- Chris Green
Re: Can't see sentmail file of 2Gb - no, it's 200Mb or so

Actually it's not 2Gb, it's some figure above 200Mb:- The file which was invisible:- -rw-rw-r-- 1 chris chris 1183926 2012-01-02 16:33 mairix -rw-r--r-- 1 chris chris 221289008 2012-01-04 11:49 sentmail Reducing it as follows made it visible:- -rw-rw-r-- 1 chris chris 1183926 2012-01-02 16:33 mairix -rw-r--r-- 1 chris chris 220663517 2012-01-04 12:16 sentmail As I said it had me really confused for a while as when I navigated (in mutt) to the directory where those two files were it showed me nothing (the mairix file didn't appear either). I checked permissions and all sorts before I guessed it was the size, lucky I didn't realise it was actually 200Mb rather than 2Gb as I might not have realised it was significant. I just manually edited the file using vi[le] to delete the first few tens of messages. I've cleared some more out since. -- Chris Green
Can't seem to set/change To: header with my_hdr
I am trying to change the To: address of some messages with a send-hook and failing completely. I already have a pair of send-hook commands that work for all lists:- send-hook . 'my_hdr From: Chris Green ch...@isbd.co.uk' send-hook ~l 'my_hdr From: Chris Green c...@isbd.net' This sets the From: address for lists as I want it to. So, after failing with more complex send-hook commands for setting the To: address I just did:- send-hook . 'my_hdr From: Chris Green ch...@isbd.co.uk' send-hook ~l 'my_hdr From: Chris Green c...@isbd.net' send-hook ~l 'my_hdr To: ch...@halon.org.uk' So *all* list replies should get that To: header added, and they don't, or at least they don't seem to. -- Chris Green
Re: flags on re-edited message
Well, I found today that if I remove the New flag, the Read flag becomes visible if I had read the original message, so that flag is not actually lost, but only hidden by the New flag. Thus, I have now a reasonable solution: I can tag all my X-labelled and unread messages and toogle the New flag of all of them. I would like the new message in this example to be marked as read and replied-to. Is there a way to keep the old flags in the newwly edited message? Thanks and best regards, Luis
Re: flags on re-edited message
Mistake: I meant 'replied' instead of 'read' flag.
