mutt on Linux via ssh from FreeBSD

2000-10-12 Thread Dennis Melentyev

Hi all!

I've some problem when I try to use mutt via ssh connection from FreeBSD
4.1.1 to Linux 2.0.36

The problem is: I'got some mess on the screen if I try to scroll message by
pressing Return. The bottom and top lines around the message body are
disappear, old value of row number is scrolled with the message text.

There isn't such problem in xterm and linux console. Just from FBSD one.

The TERM variable is set to `cons25r', and I have appropriate entry in
/etc/termcap on linux. All the other programs are run correctly.

Here is my mutt compile-time configuration:

Mutt 1.2.5i (2000-07-28)

Mutt comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY; for details type `mutt -vv'.
Mutt is free software, and you are welcome to redistribute it
under certain conditions; type `mutt -vv' for details.

System: Linux 2.0.36 [using slang 10202]
Compile options:
-DOMAIN
-DEBUG
-HOMESPOOL  +USE_SETGID  +USE_DOTLOCK  +USE_FCNTL  -USE_FLOCK
-USE_IMAP  -USE_GSS  -USE_SSL  -USE_POP  +HAVE_REGCOMP  -USE_GNU_REGEX
+HAVE_COLOR  +HAVE_PGP  -BUFFY_SIZE -EXACT_ADDRESS  +ENABLE_NLS
SENDMAIL="/usr/sbin/sendmail"
MAILPATH="/var/spool/mail"
SHAREDIR="/usr/local/share/mutt"
SYSCONFDIR="/usr/local/etc"
-ISPELL
To contact the developers, please mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED].
To report a bug, please use the muttbug utility.

slrn (which uses slang, sure) has the same problem too.
How can I correct this. Wrong termcap? Problem with slang?

Re: mutt/sendmail mailing list problem

 Ok, does anyone know of a mailing list where i might be able to ask such

  2. I don't see your problem
 the problem is that the return-path is getting set to be the very first
 sending address, ie mugwort@localhost. this makes the mailing list software
 reject the message, since that address is not subscribed.
Headers 'Received from' is NOT for replying and so on. In my message you'd
see the same headers, but all mailers should reply to me correctly. e.g. to
[EMAIL PROTECTED], not to dennis@localhost

If you've the software, that relying on Received from's you need to change
it urgent! (IMHO)

Reading USENET news with mutt

2000-08-28 Thread Dennis Melentyev

Hi everybody!

I'm a newbie in mutt. And my English isn't good, so please, be patient ;)

As I know, I can read the USENET news from spool like a MH mailbox, but
I have no idea how to post and/or followup discussion.

Please point me in right direction.

Tnx.
