Mutt and gpg encryption-problem

2001-08-13 Thread Jan-Hendrik Palic

Hi all..

ich have a small problem (I think) with mutt and gpg.
I'v got mutt-1.3.19 with gnupg-1.0.6 and all went fine, but when I want to
encrypt a mail, I got this:

usage: gpg [options] --encrypt [filename]

I seems something wrong, but i do not find this error.

In my .muttrc I have this vor gpg- encryptions:

set pgp_encrypt_only_command=gpg -v --batch --output - --encrypt --textmode
--armor --always-trust -- -r %r -- %f

set pgp_encrypt_sign_command=gpg --passphrase-fd 0 -v --batch --textmode
--output - --encrypt --sign %?a?-u %a? --armor --always-trust --
-r %r -- %f.

What's going wrong?

Thnx for your help?

Cheers
Jan

I have a server with liefnode (194.39.3.221.1) and a client with my mutt

What's going wrong here, how can I fix it?

Yes, I love it to have one program for this two things, mail an news :)

I cannot subscribe to any groups because I am unable to view the
groups list. Is anyone else having this problem? Should I rebuild
the whole thing?

What do you have have in your muttrc included to use your newsserver, here
my settings:

set news_cache_dir=~/Mail/nntp #news-cache
set news_server=194.39.221.1
set newsrc=~/.newsrc #my newsrc
set nntp_context=2000
set nntp_load_description#description for newsqroups
set nntp_poll=30

I starting mutt and then using i to use mutt an a newsreade.
The first time you get all newsgroups available and you can subscribe with
s the interestng groups.

It works for me.

I'm using exim on my client and on my server is leafnode installed? I

May anyone help me?

How should I configure inews to use it with mutt, only with mutt.

my editor is joe (new one from potato) and my own headers in muttrc:

I hope so... I'm pleased, that the system is pretty running!

Hey... it works, thnx! But a stupid question one more time:

Why is this an option, I want to use. I don't like, when everybdy can see

Does this option make sense?

pgp-error...

2000-10-17 Thread Jan- Hendrik Palic

Hi to all...

sorry, this question is asked many time I thing

I had read the documentation for mutt and pgp more or less and I installed
pgp-2.6.3-i on my debian- mashine.

I generated a new key and I I wanted to send me a test mail with a sign.
In the send- menu of mutt, I hit p to use the pgp- feature in mutt and s to
sign.
When I hit y to send the mail, pgp wants me enter the passphrase, and I
enter and then I got this errormessage:

Can't open PGP subprocess!: No such file or directory (errno = 2)

The passphrasse is correct, so, what is going wrong?

Any suggestions?

thnx
