[MLO] Re: Computed-score priority and due dates

2014-07-18 Thread David Jade
I have to agree and it seems worst than just having items with no due dates get boosted above items with due dates. Having a start dates can also negatively affect items unless they are significantly in the past (i.e. start more than 1 week ago). It seems really wrong to me that items with no d

This is one thing that has always bugged me about MLO and I constantly fight it. Items with due dates should always have a higher importance that items without. I like the idea of having due date only increase urgency as that way I can still assign a lower urgency to items to rank them lower i

I whole-heatedly agree with the first section: suspended projects should not show up as available actions in any view (unless you want them too by some MLO settings switch or property of the view). On the desktop I've used advanced filtering for a long while now to make it work like this, repla

[MLO] Re: feature request: "views" syncronized from PC to iphone(through WIFI)

2013-08-17 Thread David Jade
My first thoughts relate to this one point: there should be no difference between custom views between clients. THIS is what keeps me from fully embracing the mobile clients. I depend on my views to make MLO flexible enough to fit my workflow. For instance, being able to filter out "suspended"

Yes! Same views, same features, synced everywhere. Not having the same views is what keeps me from using the iOS versions. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group. To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send

I would really like to see a way, perhaps just optionally, to sync views as well. What I find is, I change one PC then I have to go around and export/ import everywhere else. I hope that this gets easier down the road. David -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google

[MLO] WiFi sync and changing IP addresses

2011-05-02 Thread David Jade
I've got WiFi sync working Ok, but every time the IP address changes on my laptop computer I have to re-pair using the new IP address. This causes warning about already being paired, merging data, etc... IP addresses change, there must be a better way to deal with that. Having a static IP address

[MLO] Re: To-Do MUST sync for syncing to be useful

I too wish there was an easier way to sync view settings. Exporting and importing views between computers is a pain, especially when it duplicates views each time on import. I would rather have it replace the current views. It's not that I change view settings that often but when I do it takes me a

I too would really like to see this. I would like to create a plug-in to more closely integration MLO into Outlook for tracking emails. Ideally, I would like to see an API that would allow the creation of new tasks & editing existings tasks. And of course a way to get a unique ID for added tasks s

The issue I have with mailing lists is most of what is discussed here is not that important to me. Sorry, it's just that way for me. Drag and drop from Outlook to MLO does creates an "outlook:" style hyperlink to the message. However if you're using Exchange and you move the Outlook message to another folder, that hyperlink will then be broken as the message ID changes. I'd like to see a way to preserve this which could be done

What I'd really like to see is a COM API for MLO that could be used to programatically insert a task into the MLO inbox. This way an Outlook add-in could be written (which I'd gladly write) where you could click one button in Outlook and both flag a message and have it sent to MLO along with the "
