Unfortunately the built in Move does not work within a project view. But I have
found a work around now. If the source item is in a separate window, it can be
dragged and dropped into a project view.

Your request sounds to me like a template. Set up a task with the
properties you desire and save it someplace. Then go to where you want a
new task with these properties and select the menu item "create new from
template". Point to the task you saved before. MLO will make a new

Thanks for the tip about the template. Hotkey is possible for Create new
from template. Let me give it a try and see how it goes.

Hi pottster,
Alt+d only opens up the Time & Remainder properties section activating the
Due date field. Still can't open up recurrence link from there without
clicking on "Recurrence" using mouse. Tabbing won't jump to recurrence
either.
Could there be something missing from my set up? I tried
