maintaining a correct history of completion dates. I would support you in
requesting this change.
However, I'd like to note that it would do nothing for my issue of correctly
calculating recurrence dates for repeat after
I just purchased a Kindle Fire HD and installed MLO from the Amazon App
Store. My MLO license for Android starts with :7. When I paste this
license into MLO on the kindle I get the error License must begin with :6.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

On page 42 of the User Guide, where it explains things like Active and
Available, it says the following about Available:
Complete subtasks in order and Dependency are not considered when
retrieving the tasks for this
list. The subtasks will appear on the list normally
They should be automatically hidden in todo lists if Active is selected on the
left. They will appear if this is set to Available.
In the Outline/All Tasks view everything is shown of course except those
completed tasks excluded by the Show Completed setting.

will hide future tasks.
