[MLO] Re: Accessing Recurrence dialog box (using keyboard)
Ah, ok George, you didn't mention if you were setting up a recurrence or editing an existing one. If you are editing an existing recurrence then alt + d does take you to the recurrence dialog. Unfortunately, as you say, applying a new recurrence setting requires a mouse click to access the dialog. It is still possible to automate this process using a keyboard shortcut via AutoHotkey if you are familiar with creating scripts with that program. [MLO] Re: Saving a bunch of different task properties
Hi, Dwight Thanks for the tip about the template. Hotkey is possible for Create new from template. Let me give it a try and see how it goes. (Please do move this to a new topic so as to keep "keyboard access to recurrence" as a separate topic. Sorry, forgot about the guidelines.. Thanks) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group. [MLO] Saving a bunch of different task properties
Hi, George. Your request sounds to me like a template. Set up a task with the properties you desire and save it someplace. Then go to where you want a new task with these properties and select the menu item "create new from template". Point to the task you saved before. MLO will make a new copy of the task, and you can go ahead and edit to put in the unique characteristics of this new copy (new caption or whatever. Sorry, I can't tell you exactly where in the menu to look for "create new from template" as I don't have access to Windows right now. You wanted a hotkey for this. Just giessing here, but maybe there is a hotkey for the create from template command, and maybe you could set a bookmark to the template and ise the bookmark's hotkey to specify the template. Tip: to avoid having templates cluttering up your to-do list, put them in a folder called "Templates" and mark the folder "hide branch in to-do." -Dwight Ps we are definitely not talking about keyboard access to recurrence any more, so to try to cpmply with the guideline of one topic per thread, I am attempting to move this to a new thread. -d On August 7, 2016 1:32:29 PM georgewrote: Hi pottster, Alt+d only opens up the Time & Remainder properties section activating the Due date field. Re: [MLO] Cut and paste bug
Unfortunately the built in Move does not work within a project view. But I have found a work around now. If the source item is in a separate window, it can be dragged and dropped into a project view. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group. [MLO] Re: Accessing Recurrence dialog box (using keyboard)
Hi pottster, Alt+d only opens up the Time & Remainder properties section activating the Due date field. Still can't open up recurrence link from there without clicking on "Recurrence" using mouse. Tabbing won't jump to recurrence either. Could there be something missing from my set up? I tried on two different test files. same result.
