Yuri,
Check your view. I found you can only sort subtasks in a view when you can
see all tasks. For example, It will not work if you are looking at a
filtered view of all tasks not completed.

Lisa,
I like Mindmanager. It allows you to mind map your ideas with easy drag and
drop and then to display in a Gantt chart if that helps. You can then
export to MLO including all the task info.

How I deal with this one is to create a sub task called Delete this item
and then I set it to the date I want - eg in this case Friday. This will
hide the recurring task. Then on Friday the task Delete this item pops

I read it a while ago and it makes a lot of sense to me. I do agree that

Couple of comments. I would love the calendar integration but have learned
to live without it over the years. I use outlook as my everyday calendar,

I use a surface pro 3 and it runs the full windows 8.1. Essentially it is

MLO Windows desktop version runs fine and it is great to have the full

I should also add that I love the surface pro 3. I used to juggle a samsung

use my phone for input and take my surface everywhere.

From what you have said, one book you might find useful is Essentialism by

If I want to postpone a recurring task without skipping or changing the

A simple approach I used for a while was to have a folder for each context.
Then when I was processing a task, I dragged it out of the inbox to the
relevant folder and it automatically inherits the correct context.
I have a more complex folder structure now, but they are set up in such a

Jon,
You are right. I use flags extensively and they are disappearing. Hope this

I am still having my flags disappear in my Windows MLO. I am on the latest
versions and this has been happening since it was first raised in Jan 2016.
Has there been a solution for it. I cannot find onw on here?

I postpone them by adding a subtask called DELETE THIS TASK. I can then set
the date I want it to appear. Then when it appears I simply delete and then
my recurring task is on the list.

Jan,
I keep my templates in my original file. They are under a folder called
templates and it is marked as hide the branch in to do. I just copy and
paste and do not inherit contexts (because I already set them up with the
project template)

To defer a recurring task, I add a sub task called "Delete this task". I
set the dates I want and when it show on my list, I just delete it and my
recurring task appears.

I use a Waiting for context. I add it to the existing contexts. It is auto
formatted to be purple italics so I can easily identify and then I set a
review date. It does not appear on my to list until it is due for a review.
I also have a tab where all the items for review appear so I can

My workaround is to add a subtask called "Delete this task" and set it for
the day I am going to do it. When it shows up in my list, I delete it and
then the recurring times shows up on thelist.
