Thanks Brent, your solution is the one that worked for me. In 4.0.20
there was no 'Super_priv' column however. ?

Is there a trick to getting exports from a 4.x database to work on
3.23.x systems?

hink those ugly warnings will again be removed in the next 4.0 release.
They were instroduced to 4.0.xx accidentally.
Thanks Heikki, as long as I know it is a known error I am happy to wait
(and truncate my error logs)... :^)

Hey Heikki,
Not sure you want that, the file is 44MB uncompressed, and only talks
about the errors reading communication packets. Makes for some really
boring reading ;) The InnoDB error I managed to figure out - I once

Can somebody please whack me upside the head with a cluestick?

Dear Sir,
MySQL 3.23.52 won't compile on Mac OS X 10.2 based on Darwin 6.0
which comes pre-installed with gcc 3.1
I don't want to uninstall it as it would probably bring down other
major functions of the new system.

Can anyone comment on the stability of the current 4.x MySQL release.
I'd be using MyISAM tables and only features which are currently
available in the 3.23.x series.
