here is my history with this bug:
- ubuntu 8.04 rock solid
- upgrade to 10.04 with 2.6.32-22 - disaster (too many other problems to list
here, but HVR-1300 is one problem)
- go insane for 1 week trying to fix
- finally download v4l-dvb-20100130 from kewl.org and install
- intermittent
continuing from the above:
1. add analog back into backend, change card priorities so that when i
test in LiveTV it doesn't start in analog, then try switching from
digital to analog and back again (instead of other way around which i
know fails)
tried this just now. did not work. as long as the

Every day, anacron emails me with:
/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
error: stat of /var/log/mythtv/mirobridge.log failed: No such file or directory
My guess is this is because I am not using mirobridge, so there's no log
file, but /etc/logrotate.d/mythtv-backend is still
My Update Manager is hung trying to install this (and failing). How do
I interrupt an installation?

Looks like this would affect US and Canada. I've attached a patch to
the upstream ticket, if anyone is interested in manually applying it.

Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused
This is a relatively old bug now, yet until I upgraded last night to
2:0.24.0~trunk-24634-0ubuntu1, I never had this issue on my Lucid box,
and now I do.
I notice that is seems to impact anything related to the internal
player, eg: Live/Pre-recorded TV and MythVideo. For me, the simplest
solution

I had HDMI sound working fine with my NVidia based mythbuntu box in both
jaunty and karmic, but after the lucid upgrade I am getting horrible
white noise from live TV. MythMusic and other sound programs are working
fine, only TV playback (both live and recorded) is bad.

The noise resembles a machine-gun, white noise with quick rests.
