Odd. Ok - I'll post the backend in verbose mode.
I'm confused on the sub-chan definitions you're suggesting here. I was under
the impression that a station such as:
FOX45_H: :45.1 :46: 3:0
FOX45 : :45.2 :46: 4:0
Would be mapped as
45_1 - 46-3
45_2 - 46-4

I've also been trying to get AC3 to work with my SB Live! Platinum
(not 5.1). It works perfectly in Windows and PowerDVD, so I know
it's capable. How are you executing xine or mplayer? Is there a
program to test AC3 without a DVD? I created /etc/asound.conf based
on yours and restarted
Any chance of mythstream making it into 0.17? I rarely listen to my
mp3's since I installed it. Any reason why it hasn't been included?

Ok - got the backend dump. This dump was taken by first going to PBS station
26 (Freq 27, subchan 1). Everything works fine here - always also.
After watching TV for about 10 sec's - I changed channels to PBS station 22
(Freq 42, subchan 1). You will see how it starts an endless loop and
I've built a backend and 2 frontends from the R% KnoppMyth CD.
I've got a nice RF remote USB keyboard and mouse. Booted from the CD these
work fine. However, now that I have the system installed on the hard disk,
using this or any other USB keyboard/mouse causes the ssytem to hand during

I've just updated my cvs (today) and have this problem on SBS, WIN(9)
and PRIME(7). ABC and 10 seem to be ok. I also see the issue with
previously recorded programs from those affected channels, but not the
unaffected ones. I am seeing simillar log entries to you.
Please let me know if you have

Why not? You can get cheap Intel or 3com NIC's with bootrom's for $10 or
so, and do a PXE boot. That way, no
After a couple of tries of getting a mythbox up, I think I've got it.
My PCTV Pro remote
is almost there, and there's still some more tweaks I need to put in
that. I'm running
MythTv 0.16 from a KnoppMyth install. AMD 2600+ Mobile, Ti4280 with
latest Nvidia
drivers and a PCTV Pro capture card.
Whew, bit of a long subject, anyway I've got a little niggle that I'm
wondering if there is a cure for.
When watching live tv, when I go to the menu then view the program guide
it works perfectly.
If I exit the screen blanks (although audio keeps playing), pressing

I found that Isaac merged some libavcodec/ffmpeg stuff in about the 24th
December 04. I went back to just before that and it's working fine at the
moment. I haven't had time to narrow it down any further, but if you take
CVS from say 26th it should be bad and from the 23rd it
