I just upgraded from atrpms mythtv-0.18.1-113.rhfc3.at to
mythtv-0.18.1-114.rhfc3.at and the UI scaling is now a little off.
Text location is too low vertically and getting cut off at the bottom.
I'm using the Iulius theme, but similar things happen with a few
others (I found titivillus works ok)
I'd say start by checking the temp; run with the case off and if it
locks immediately touch things like the base of the CPU heatsink, back
of the video card cpu etc.
The PSU sounds more like the culprit though, you'd be surprised how
crappy some of them can be.

On an only slightly related note, how long does it take you guys to
change channels? The cpu speed increase helped my system a little,
but it can still take 3-5 seconds. Is it the tv tuner I'm using?

yes, with no encoding on livetv I get way under 30% cpu usage on an
underclocked 2500+ (long story hehe)

yep and it's ended. I just realised I searched for "vstream" instead
of "v-stream" though so thats why it came up empty :)
the v-stream search only comes up with the $160 guys, but it turns out
that's because george doesn't include the word in his listing lol.
Looks like I'll be picking that up

I've got a 120gb in my box atm, LVM'd with 3/4 of the 80gb primary
drive. I eventually plan to move it all to a couple of bigger drives
and have an insane 60gb livetv buffer :D

I'm in Brisbane, Australia and did this a couple of weeks ago. This
may hurt a little.

I had a quick look at the guide, it looks like it's mostly applicable
to Debian. From the looks of a quick google search as long as I run
the unstable branch there is a source of debian packages I

Hi Everyone,
I'm in Brisbane, Australia and about to set up a MythTV box. After
