I have the lite-on wireless keyboard as well. The remote I have is a
harmony remote from logitech which is GREAT. I was able to teach the
keys, but I kept having the problem that if I hit a key on the remote,
it would send it twice to the machine. I called up harmony support
and they were great
Hi!
I was just wandering if I could get some clarification on the
difference between divx and xvid in nuvexport? I've also seen reports
that divx is no longer supported and xvid has replaced it, yet my copy
of nuvexport from CVS a few days ago lists divx and it appears to
work.
Thanks!

I am succesfully running my frontend/backend on Sarge. I've also
succesfully ran it on Sid. Just note, that my guess is that within
the next 6 months, sarge will become stable... which means security
updates =)

Yes, this sounds like an audio buffer/caching issue that I once had.
Same exact symptops and solution. There's several setup
configurations that can help fix this, use video as a timeline (I
think that's what it's called), aggressive audio buffering, etc.

Hi,
The other day I had a remote frontend crash while watching live tv.
When I booted back up I noticed that one of the two tuners in the
backend was still tuned to what I was watching and would not release
the tuner until I rebooted. Is there anyway that a backend can detect
if a frontend is
Hi,
Ever since I've began, I haven't been able to get TV OUT to work
during boot. It appears that the refresh rate doesn't sync until X
starts to load the nvidia drivers and the nvidia splash screen comes
up. Then, it works perferctly. During the boot process, the screen

I think this is great! It's funny because just the other day I was
thinking I wish I could edit cutlists via the web interface... what
timing! I'm not saying this should be a replacement, as it'll always
be easier to do this at the machine, but for quick jobs where you want
to double check
I know this has been brought up on several occasions and if I recall
correctly several developers, including Isaac, agree with you that it
should eventually have this type of interaction between modules.

MythTV Users,
Be careful... I bought an xbox at EB and there was a new serial number
stick over the old one. Turns out it was a 1.0 xbox, but the sticker
said it was made in 2003... Then I saw that there was a sticker under
that one. I guess I don't care, per say, but it does suck a lot that
they did that.
Can we get these changes committed to CVS?
Thanks!

I think I'm going to get a PVR-500 and try it out. I was looking on

I know, that's about the same as OEM and usually you don't get

So, just to jump in here. I currently have 2 PVR-250s. I really need
at least 1 more source, and I don't know if it's best to invest in
another PVR-250, or a 150 or a 500. It looks like the 500 (and 150)
are really still in development to the point that it wouldn't be a
simple plug and play.
I'm having a similar issue. What happens is that I'll make a cutlist
based on the commercial detection. Then, I'll transcode (although I'm
not sure it would matter if I didn't). When I play the recording,
everything is great until I hit the cutlist. The video directly after
the cut plays slow
Yes, I was able to use Xebian 1.1.2. All I had to do was change a
line in the top of the install.pl file to:
$compatible = 1.1.2-xbox;
and it worked just fine :)

I agree! And sometimes it works fine, but it'll cut off the last few
frames before commercials and the first few frames after commercials.
I've also notices that Lost as well as some other shows will go to
black, but still have sound, or will come back with black and have
sound before picture.
I have the same issues. I'm not sure how to troublesolve them either
and I posted it to the list as well with no responce. I too am

Hi,
Everytime I got into the settings for mythfrontend it asks me to
enter the Database configuration, even though it can already access
the database. If I manually enter the information, it still asks me
for the info the next time. I'm running CVS from a few days ago.
I've also seen
development seems
to move fairly quickly as far a feature sets/fixes/improvements are
concerned.
Thanks!

Now I'm having a
hard time getting to the database. my frontend/backend is the same
machine, but it seems like it's not making good connections to the
database. When I run mythfilldatabase I get this:
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK
Length: unspecified [text/xml]

Would there be any harm in copying the settings.pro file out, then
doing a make distclean, then removing the myth directory and just
doing cvs as from scratch? Seems almost as easy. Anything else I
would need to backup or reasons why this would be a bad idea?
P.S. I sent this to brad only
