Hello,
Recently I moved from Nagios1 to Nagios2 and have a question about Service
Problems page.
At this page Nagios2 shows only services that are in CRITICAL state, but
doesn't show services that are in WARNING state while they are still visible
on Tactical Overview and Service Detail pages.
It is possible. Can you send your services.cfg file ? which of the defined
services are in a warning state and not showing up
under service problems ?

There is a perl module for this, which seems to do the trick pretty good.
That being said it does take a bit of trial and error to get what you need perhaps.
The module in question is on CPAN under H/HO/HOPCROFTS/Nagios-Report-0.002.tar.gz (at the time of this mail).
Easiest way to get and
I would suggest nc_net instead.
NSClient does not work with Windows 2003 SP1, nc_net does. Only downside (i guess) is that it needs the .NET redistributable on there. Which is standard on 2003 unless I am much mistaken (don't install many windows boxes myself nomore).

I am also having an issue with notifications.

I'm in a distributed environment.
Using Postfix for E-Mail.
I can send a test E-Mail directly from the OS
I can send a test E-Mail using the command in the misccommands.cfg file.
Does anyone have any suggestions that do not involve installing additional
software on the Windows servers?

Building a check around http://www.rdesktop.org/ might achieve what
your looking for.

The thread mentionsone already :
WMI, though if you can not install anything at all on the serveryou will need 1 additional machine (on which you can install some soft, namely the soft from the url below) to act as a 'probe'
/usr/local/nagios/libexec/chec_tcp -p 3389 is how i do this - It doesn't ensure
login availability, only port status so you would need plugins for that, but
this is as good as it gets with no software, AFAIK...

Marc,
Thanks for being a second pair of eyes. The problem was in the
contacts.cfg file, there were no service_notification_options
configured.
This leads me to the next question. If the service_notification_options
are mandatory, why didn't the nagios -v nagios.cfg error out?
Thanks!

I saw a demo site where the tactical page was not the standard black

You can modify the stylesheet for any page to modify the
background/foreground/layout colors of most any part of the resulting
displays.

Specifically for the Tactical Overview,
you would edit /usr/local/nagios/share/stylesheets/tac.css

The problem I am having is that my service notifications are being sent and
delivered properly, but host notifications being sent to the exact same contact
are never being delivered, even though nagios indicates they were sent.
