Doesn't nrpe require some installation on the remote machine? I can't install that plugin to the remote machine so ill trie to get it done with check_by_ssh. As i understand it doesn't require any additional plugins on the remote. But what puzzles me the most, is how Nagios will send the result

Hi, you have to find the right OIDs for the info you are trying to get from the printer. Imagine the OID as as dotted address string (like 1.3.6.x.x.x.x.x). Each OID points to a value and what that value does mean is described into a collection called MIB. So, find the right MIBs for your

Hi guys, I would like to monitor the traffic of my cisco routers and need to get alarmed when the traffic threshold is crossed( need to avoid bandwidth over usage ) . I have snmp enabled on my routers. Can anybody help me? -- Regards, Nibin.

Sorry to hear you upgraded to EX10, but what are you going to do right ? Yes, most likely your Ubuntu Server is using it's own MAILX to send emails, so my guess is that the mail routing is not hard-coded into any configuration within Ubuntu, probably you have a relay issue in your EX10 where

If it helps, do your tests through your Ubuntu command line, using nagios as your user with something like: echo TEST | mail -s This is a test -S smtp=EX10server.com yourem...@yourdomain.com When this is successful, chances are you nailed it. Good luck then.
