http://nagios.org/docs/ is a good place to start
If you have installed from source, the relevant config is usually
under /usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/. See templates.cfg there - that
can give you a clue.

javascript file to allow on-mouseover graphs with pnp? the docs are
unclear on that.

P.S. Nsca.c looks like it need some locking to prevent multiple nsca
(sub)processes using aggregated writes from clobbering each others
to do the nsca & nagios
patch changing the FIFO to a Unix Socket. I don't suppose anyone has
that patch already? If so I'd appreciate getting a pointer to it. I'll
also see if using nscafe makes sense to. BTW, I think writing a neb
replacement for nsca will take more time t

Anyone here have an idea how I can do to monitor remote host but in
"reverse". I mean , instead of having my Nagios Server asking remote
device if everything is correct, I need that the remote device send
data to Nagios instead (because remote device
mmand)
to start Nagios instead of the >3 minutes I was seeing. Funny thing is
that normal commands were working quickly on the machine. I guess I/O
might have been slow.

I've put the hostgroup membership in the host definitions instead of the
hostgroup definition. You still need to define the hostgroup even if it
has no members.
