I need to configure nagios such a way that it sends alert when host is down and
when host is up,
Currently nagios is sending alert very often.
Please advice,

what do you mean about nagios sending alerts very often? Isn't that why you

found following error in nagiosgraph.log, perfdata not recognized

- rrd folder is empty.
- all logs files (perfdata and nagiograph.log) populating correctly.
