i did what you said on previous posts but still having the same problem.
Server runs 2.6.24.4-64.fc8 x86_64 kernel. i added CFLAGS=-fPIC and showed
my libraries of mysql64 in configure but still no good configuration status
i have. Any updates about this you may know?

The problem is when i try to compile ndoutils with the configure
command below, i'm getting that error.
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/nagios/

I don't see how your problem is connected with that 3 year old thread.

I would imagine they
