is there a way to model a host dependency on a service? I have
parent relations on all hosts but i'd like to go more fine granular
by letting a host depend on a service e.g. switchport.

The trick to a host dependency might be to make a dummy host that is using
the same check

are no problem at all, but I like to make a Host-Check dependend
from an Service.
