Our ciscos respond to the standard IF-MIB::ifSpeed oid (I think it's .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.5), we have a perl script wrapped around that which calculates traffic over a 20 second period, but you could use a temporary file to record the traffic if you were interested in a longer time. Be warned

Hi, How can you distinguish between the different ports? With the switch -r you have to give the exact port Name (just use a mibbrowser). E.g with the switch: define command{ command_name check_snmp_netint_load command_line $USER1$/check_snmp_netint.pl -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -C
