Last night I got a few warning/critical errors with a few recovery e-mails. However towards this morning I received 2 critical alerts and even though they recovered I didn't receive a recovery e-mail. Any ideas? Jerad -

I'm trying to build nagios2.9 on linux. There already happens to be an older one installed via RPM as well as libgd, libpng and libjpeg so I'm (re)installing from source. nagios 2.9 compiles but complains about GD, PNG or jpeg library. Install gd-2.0.33 and libpng-1.2.18 and they both compile

Hi, Apologies for the overly simple question, but how does one control the interval at which host command check attempts are executed? I'm working on a plugin that will power-on a host if the check command fails. Unfortunately, it looks like each attempt occurs 3 seconds after the previous one.

Well, this might have been another one of that mailer-type problem, meaning not really caused by Nagios itself... Might as well take a look at your mailer-program (sendmail, postfix...etc) configs... Look at some of those timers there and probably youll got some ideas from it... -
