[Nagios-users] Event timeline view

2012-07-11 Thread Sergio Ariel de la Campa Saiz
Hi:

I was wondering if someone knows about an addon to show all events related to a
host or service (problems and recoveries) in a timeline. I mean, I need an
addon that takes information from logs for an specific host or service
and shows it in a line of time.
I was trying Nagios XI Timeline without success.

Thanks a lot...

 edit nrpe.cfg

   be sure to set server port, server address, user/group and

 You can use DRRAW http://web.taranis.org/drraw/ . I believe it can be
 done within PNP too, but I haven't tried it. This was discussed on
 the pnp4nagios email list recently. Check the archive at

Re: [Nagios-users] NAGIOSGRAPH not graphing

2009-03-20 Thread Sergio Ariel
I have some similar problem, I have run insert.pl manually and ir return
this:

*readline() on closed filehandle PERFLOG at
/usr/local/nagios/etc/nagiosgraph/ngshared.pm line 797*

I went to /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagiosgraph/ngshared.pm line 797 and it
says:

788 sub inputdata () {
789 my @inputlines;
790 if ( $ARGV[0] ) {
791 @inputlines = $ARGV[0];
792 } elsif ( defined $Config{perflog} ) {
793 if (-s $Config{perflog}) {
794 my $worklog = $Config{perflog} . .nagiosgraph;
795 rename($Config{perflog}, $worklog);
796 open PERFLOG, $worklog;
797 while (PERFLOG) {
798 push @inputlines, $_;
799 }
800 close PERFLOG;
801 unlink($worklog);
802 }

I'm sure I configure logs for perfdata correctly:
*service_perfdata_file* in nagios.cfg is the same file that
*perflog* in nagiosgraph.conf. And I'm sure I put all path correctly in
any file. I use nagiosgraph 1.2.1

[Nagios-users] Service check on DOWN hosts!!!

2009-02-23 Thread Sergio Ariel
I have some services (in different hosts) I check by Nagios.
Some of these service checks spend some seconds to execute, so, I've set

seconds timeout service check.
My problem is that when these host are DOWN, Nagios wait 30 seconds
trying to execute the service check. After this 30 seconds, then tell me
   CRITICAL SERVICE. I want to avoid Nagios checks any service in DOWN
host.
Please, how can I get it?
I want Nagios don't execute any service check until host is UP again.

Thanks.

 and when I run from Nagios Server this:
 check_nrpe -H Postfix Server's IP -t 500 -c check_cola_correo

 I obtain this error message:
 NRPE: Command timed out after 60 seconds

 What can I do?
 I don't know where is this timeout of 60 seconds.

 Thanks

 Perhaps the 'service_check_timeout' setting in the main nagios.cfg file?

 James

[Nagios-users] Please help. Problem using check_nrpe and check_mailq

2009-01-14 Thread Sergio Ariel
I have installed NRPE to check a Postfix Server's mail queue.
I have changed timeouts in order to obtain what I want.

In Postfix Server I have declared in nrpe.cfg this:

command[check_cola_correos]=/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_mailq -w
5000 -c 7000 -M postfix -t 450

and when I run from Nagios Server this:
check_nrpe -H Postfix Server's IP -t 500 -c check_cola_correo

I obtain this error message:
NRPE: Command timed out after 60 seconds

What can I do?
I don't know where is this timeout of 60 seconds.

Thanks

[Nagios-users] Problem with NRPE!!!

2009-01-12 Thread Sergio Ariel
I'm triying to install NRPE but I have a big problem.
All documents say that I must do next:

tar xzf nrpe-2.8.tar.gz
cd nrpe-2.8
./configure
make all
make install-plugin
make install-daemon
make install-daemon-config

But when I try to run any make command I receive this error:
make: *** No rule to make target `all'. Stop.

What can I do?

Thanks.

[Nagios-users] Uninstalling Nagios

2009-01-08 Thread Sergio Ariel
Please, I need help about uninstalling Nagios. I installed it in my
personal PC to do some tests but now I don't know how to uninstall it. I
have Nagios running in a real server, so I don't need it any more in my PC.

Thanks.
