Is there any problem with network connectivity to Nasdaq or NYSE. Specifically
on Yipes.

Can someone explain how a TCP conversation could degenerate into congestion
avoidance on a long fat pipe if there is no packet/segment loss or out of order
segments?
Here is the situation:
WAN = 9 Mbps ATM connection between NY and LA (70 ms delay)
LAN = Gig Ethernet
Receiver: LA server = Win2
qwest had a core router outage in Burbank, it reloaded at 6 am PDT

To all,
I have an east coast and west coast data center connected with a DS3. I am

I plan to design a hub and spoke WAN using ATM. The
data traversing the WAN is US equities market data.
Market data can be in two flavors multicast and TCP

and latency (like voice). What type

To all,
I am using AS prepending to favor one ISP over
another, in a BGP multihomed/multiISP scenario. Why
does the ISP receiving the prepends fail to add my
network into their routing table? Is this a "feature"
of BGP, or have I gone too far with 3 prepend
statements.
Thx
Philip
I have recently been turned down by ARIN for an
address block. I currently have 4 /24's from ISP's and
would like IP independence. How do I convince ARIN to
give me a block -- /20 I guess? The form I filled out
does not make it easy.

I am having a problem witha DS3 that terminates into a
Adtran CSU (T3SU-300) and then into a 7200 with HSSI.
I can not ping with a data pattern and I
experience packet loss and errors when I pass TCP
traffic.
Adtran recommended an attenuator.
