I've found in the past that the Zayo escalation lists are very helpful in
getting something resolved. They may not answer but I've left messages
before and heard back from someone who can get stuff done.

Anyone have recommendations for providers who I can use for LTE on Opengear
console servers in the UK, Netherlands, and Singapore? 1 provider for all 3
countries would be great but I'll take what I can get. Oddly when talking
to Opengear they don't really have any great advice. We use Verizon SIM
I wish CenturyLink would better manage both the legacy level3 portal and
the current centurylink portal. The fact that I cant just go into 1 place
and see all of my circuits now is annoying.

Anyone else seen terrible support and high turnover of sales/account people
at Cogent the last few months? Is there something going on over there
internally? I'm sure some people will say Cogent has always been crap but
in the past their account reps and support were pretty good. It seems to

Why do you say that? I'd love some details before buying opengear.

Instead of patching the python what happens if you just run 'no errdisable
recovery cause xcvr-unsupported'

We use Phonefactor (now azure authenticator) with anyconnect vpn. It sits
in front of LDAP/AD and integrates with it. It an be a PITA but it works.

If you have access to the Level3 portal you should see ticket #9639047

Level 3 Tier III and Operations Engineering teams have identified Internet

I'd appreciate it if a postmaster from the Hotmail/Live team could contact
me off-list as well. My previous contacts are no longer part of the Hotmail
team and haven't been able to successfully get me in touch with anyone over
there.

They are related to the DNSChanger and Ghostclick malware as ML said. The
e-mails to us did come from the DOJ e-mail servers and were legitimate. The
phone number is legit as well.

The megaupload.com domain was seized today, has anyone noticed significant
drops in network traffic as a result?

It will be at least 9-10 years before Google could bid. I think the TV
networks get a chance to renew before anyone else can even bid. Unless the
NFL decides to do something with the NFL Network games they are likely SOL.
ESPN renewed their MNF contract through 2021.
I e-mailed Marco (md) the creator of 'whois' back in July when this started
and he stated he was going to try to work around the rWHOIS issue in the
next release. Sadly there hasn't been a new release yet but I am hopeful.
Sadly I see these all the time, and Valve's SRCDS is vulnerable as well
(AFAIK any Q3 engine game is too). There are unofficial patches for source
but I wish Valve and others would fix it for good. Normally I see these
types of attacks in the 1-2Gbps range but we recently have seen them in the

I've tried their support form over at

doesn't seem to ever generate even an auto-reply anymore. Feel free to
contact me off-list.
Does anyone have some detailed information about the internet issues going
on in Sweden and other parts of Europe right now? I've read some reports
about a large Telia outage in Sweden indicating a fault somewhere
in Frankfurt or London as the cause.

We have a large IP block that is being listed as dynamic by Earthlink's mail
servers causing mail to be returned and have gotten nowhere with the normal
procedures or the abuse mailbox at (866) 525-8194.
