Two current experiences . . .
I still do work with an ILEC that gets requests for waves to Cogent. Cogent
has a data center in the market but won't allow the ILEC to build in. So
Cogent burns ports in another data center where Cogent pays for space and
power. Cogent reps says no one gets

Today while negotiating with Cogent for connectivity in the WOW 226
Datacenter I sent a copy of the original email and told them I will NEVER
use Cogent for my customers due to this kind of activity.
Imagine if everyone else follows suit.

He has to do that to show there is activity on the account otherwise another

by someone who got a similar email.

I think they call me around once a week right now. Even after I've told them
we're not interested. Every once in a while they switch the numbers they're
calling from, just to keep things interesting.

So we just got an email from cogent, we have told them time and time again to
stop calling and stop emailing. We tell them are good on bandwidth and we
don’t need any of their services.. They then sent us a e-mail stating that they
saw us coming though one of their customers networks from us,

I’m not entirely certain these are problems that operators necessarily concern
themselves with. Datacenters and specialized service networks, perhaps, but not
internet service providers. Mainly because the internet is a relatively lossy
beast with several performance inhibitors that constantly

Can you describe this a bit more? I'd like to add it to my list of stuff
broken on mikrotik.

Yes, at $work we obtained one recently (without hassle, thank you ARIN

Hi,
if I check this site it shouldn't be problem to purchase a 2Byte ASN.

The ASN are at the end, but it seems that there are some available.
Is there any reason you need to use your AS in the route target instead

We've never had an issue requesting a 2-byte ASN from ARIN. Our last
request was, maybe, a month ago.

messing with them. They can’t use communities with their 4 bytes asn. It’s
one of those it really isn’t a big deal but I thought I would ask.

a) Trio model of packet stays in single PPE until done vs. FP model of
