Job, many thanks for this detailed feedback! I copy Nanog on my response
below, since you sent there, but maybe we could move future emails off list
to avoid spamming people not into this subject.

Hello,
Is there any one here on Nanog list that has experience or information on how
to setup T-Mobile Wifi Carrier Off-load ? (Passpoint), for enterprise use ?
(I am familiar with and working with Google Orion, I am needing to do the same
for T-Mobile)
Will greatly appreciate any or all
If it makes you feel any better, we have been waiting for a simple BCI
Circuit from Comcast for over a year (not 100% their fault, they had to
permit a canal crossing). Two weeks ago, we received a construction
completion email from our account manager, and I scheduled a turnup for the

I saw a map once showing that they seemed to come into town from the west via
I-88 (while other westerly routes traveled via the Rock Island). I only know of
CenturyLink (then Digital Teleport) going west from 88, so maybe that's where
they got their route from? I wonder where their huts\POPs

Is anyone else seeing a lot of 'strange' IPSEC traffic?
This mail server running FreeBSD did: (timestamps in CET, UTC+1)

Well, and "better" for what purpose? Some glass may not work out well for
longhaul 25+ terabit services, but would be fine for metro loops of regular
services.

Navigating the Zayo maze has become my five-month odyssey, attempting to
breathe life into a new wave circuit. Yet, at every turn, the elusive Letter of
Authorization (LOA) emerges as a formidable opponent, adorned with syntax
problems or entangled in the chaos of already occupied ports.

I've seen traffic like this for the better part of at least the last 7
years, fairly consistently.
It's definitely not something new.

One consideration about older fiber, is it may not be maintained. I
know of one large city owned installation that has older fiber that is
being abandoned in order to pull higher count and better glass in. The
old fiber will end up being cut due to construction, etc. so it is
worthless.

Dear NANOG,
It appears the WHOIS service at whois.radb.net is now filtering out
RPKI-invalid IRR route/route6 objects for common expansion queries!
This really is exciting and excellent news. I'll elaborate a bit on what
this exactly means.
Example ROA & IRR object

as well.
There were obviously many facets, but I think one of the turns was due to DWDM.
You no longer needed a pair for every circuit. That then contributed to the
glut of strands.

On a related note, I recently noticed Google became reachable again over IPv6
from Cogent (I didn't have any automated testing in place so this can well have
happened long ago - last posts I can find about the issue are from mid-2020).
It's apparently through Tata/6453 so looks like
