This is actually a good thing. There are many *valid technical reasons*
behind this. You should do this too.
I do still use expect(tcl) whole lot at work, it is truly an
underappreciated tool ever.

Yep, went through the same route until I figured out that GPS time is a
bit ahead of UTC. We simply use a windows NTP server for internal use at
work, and I won't recommend doing so, because it went off the rails once
for a while despite of having several upstream servers pointed to.

Same thought here, yet I tried to report a wrong GeoIP subnet for my AS
multiple times on that form. Never got feedback nor did they made any
correction.
