U.S. District Judge William Cambridge ordered $183,465 seized from Santee bank accounts. U.S. Attorney Tom Monaghan, who froze the tribal accounts on Oct. 27, originally sought $1.8 million. But last month, federal attorneys agreed that $1.3 million of that sum was legally exempt. About $500,000 remained frozen as of Friday, with federal officials seeking $288,469.
