As others commented on the blog, the basic EE theory is largely unchanged.
What *HAS* changed in the past 30 years is the amount of simulation work
you can do on circuits, so I would hope that is covered in the new edition.

For many Electronic Engineers, myself included, AoE was *the* definitive
text but that was 26 years ago.
Parts of it obviously became outdated as the industry progressed and the
3rd edition has been long discussed and anticipated.
