displays ..

It has been relabeled on the front, but not in the back where is spells

What are people doing with loose tubes in their collections? I've been
wrapping mine in bubble wrap but have been wanting to start putting them in
tube boxes designed to hold them.
Does anyone know where I can buy tube boxes for relatively cheap?
Thanks

I just use small sterilite boxes. They stack well and keep critters out. You
can see what’s in the box too...:-)

Here is something else fun from eBay. Price for these IN-18 seem typical but
check out the packaging.

Antique Electronic Supply offers both
I wish someone would sell a kit for a 6-8 Dekatron Clock. I know there is s
blog describing how someone built their own but I was hoping for something
already engineered.
I have also seen them on YouTube

Any thoughts?

Assuming 2000 hours/year, the tubes would have had 20,000-50,000 hours of
use on them (maybe even a lot more).

That's adorable!
It reminds me of some little voltage clipper tubes I bought from a surplus
outfit, and found they look just like little neons, but they light up purple.

Purple is cool. I have one from an old dishwasher that has a florescent
coating and it lights green!

Hi, hopefully Nick Stock and I will have a 7 dekatron clock (British
dekatrons only at first and perhaps Soviet tubes as a second step) clock
available in a few months time. We need to get the E1T kit finished first.
I should be able to post pictures of the dekatron clock prototype in a few
weeks.
Looking forward to that! Do I need to stock up on British Dekatrons before
you guys drive the price up?

Wouldn’t hurt:-)
Ha ha.
We plan on offering fully built clocks and kits, but it’s at the development
stage at the moment. As always, the documentation will be publicly available
and open source in design.

There ‘may’ be a US version too using 6802 type dekatrons, but the case will
need tweaking for that

They work like many gas tubes, they're insulating until the breakover voltage
is
I just snagged the tubes, so no pressure!
Grahame, I also have a nice old scope (a CY-1300/U) that is just itching to be
turned into a clock. I believe a guy called Justin has already been talking to
you about almost the same thing - he has the same scope. It was also your site
that showed me
