a similar problem exists for Solaris with 32-bit and 64-bit kernels (or
other binaries as well), although this is not a problem for net-snmp
since it doesn't use nlist() as far as I know.

I'm trying to receive a SNMP v3 trap.
With this 2-line snmptrapd.conf file:
authUser log myuser
createUser -e 0x0102030405 myuser MD5 motdepasse
I obtain this answer to the command line:
snmptrapd -Dusm
No log handling enabled - turning on stderr logging

It seems as if the FAQ file got a little mangled due to an unresolved conflict
the last time it was committed onto HEAD, maybe that could be fixed?
