Dear All I have recently started using net-snmp (5.3.1) on RHEL 4.0. One more thing about the OS is that it is a 64 bit OS. When the Manager sends SNMP PDUs (similar to snmpwalk), I am having snmpd crash. I see sometimes an error in the /var/log/messages saying there is an error in the received PD
Firstly let me say that since the trap was sent using the SNMP protocol,
the receiving entity needs to understand the same protocol to log the
trap at all, since the PDU sent by the sending entity was created using
SNMP and it can be understood by an agent understanding the same
protocol.
