I want to get the ENUM value by giving the OBJECT-TYPE.
for e.g :
when I pass OBJECT-TYPE to snmptanslate, I get the whole data.
Instead I want to just get the value of SYNTAX.
# /usr/local/bin/snmptranslate -Td -IR ipNetToMediaType
IP-MIB::ipNetToMediaType
ipNetToMediaType OBJECT

Thanks for your reply.
I am using netsnmp 5.3.0.1 which is being ported by us for solaris.
On linux 2 instances are working fine.
I will try these, but as you said that we need to upgrgade.
I want to ask that,is there no way to run two snmpd on solaris for netsnmp
5.3.0.1 version and
There is issue with enviroment variables.
Export the mibs.
export MIBDIRS=$Dir
export MIBS=ALL
Dir=Path where your mibs are present.

I am unable to run multiple snmpd agents on solaris machine.
Event two instances of snmpd are not running on solaris although I am
able to run any number of
instances on linux.
I tried all the options with snmpd but second instance aborts.
Error is mostly because of using same 161 P
