WALK Issue

Hello everybody, I am using net-snmp 5.0.9 under solaris10. I am new to net-SNMP. I have problem in walk. it doen't work properly from the first time unless I should first use get or getnext. Always the function snmp_oid_compare() returns 1. I will be grateful if anybody can help me with this
