You might also want to refer to the patch I submitted shortly following
this one which actually plugs the (pretty serious) memory leaks that
caused this allocation to fail.

Reference bug # [ 975063 ] snmp_sess_close NULL deref
The patch was applicable to all 5.x branches and will appear
in the next release.
