Hi,
I just noticed that the library version number in 5.3.3.rc2 decremented
compared to v5.3.2.3:
net-snmp-5.3.3.rc2/snmplib/.libs/libnetsnmp.so.10.0.3
net-snmp-5.3.2.3/snmplib/.libs/libnetsnmp.so.10.0.4
I would normally expect it to increment. Feature or bug?

Holger
Hi,
I am using NET-SNMP version 5.4.2.1 with the following configuration
file:
doDebugging 1
debugTokens read_config
showMibErrors 0
mibWarningLevel 0
I then issue the following command:
snmpget -c public 10.80.24.81 NDS-DTH3-MUX::muxBitRate.1
I get the following output
trace: read_config():
Hi,
Thanks for the update. I just downloaded v5.3.2.1. The version number is
still reported as 5.3.2. And the CHANGES file doesn't include an entry
for 5.3.2.1 (NEW does though).
Regards,
Holger

Mahesh,
Try using the full path name when opening the file. Among other things snmpd
will change its current working directory to / if the -f option isn't used.

Hi,
I have run into 2 configure options which will cause a linker error in
net-snmp v5.3.0.1. The machine used for compilation is an
i686-pc-linux-gnu.
./configure --with-out-transports=Callback
v5.1.4 compiles ok
v5.2.2 compiles ok
v5.3.0.1 compile fails:
gcc -g -O2 -Dlinux -o .libs/snmpd

Hi,
I am doing some testing with netsnmp version 5.3.0.1 and I am a bit
confused about the 2nd varbind in an inform or SNMPv2 trap.
On this page
http://www.net-snmp.org/tutorial/tutorial-5/commands/snmptrap-v3.html
it is suggested to send an coldStart inform like this: coldStart.0
For some reason that I do not know I cannot see the object
values of the
host-resources-mib file, when I am running:
either
snmpwalk localhost (my rocommunity name) system
or
snmpwalk localhost (my rwcommunity name) system
the host-resources-mib is not under the system sub tree. Try
