This should be --with-mibs=...:FOURD-MIB" (the name from the DEFINITION
clause). Unfortunately the currently released versions do not complain
about mibs not found from the default list (nor MIBS= environment nor -m
command line).

Hi Niels, gents,

Ok, now I'm even more confused. Here's what the relevant line from my config shell looks like :

   --with-mib-modules="fourD mibII host ieee802dot11"

These "MIB" names do not match those in actual MIB files. e,g. The host resources MIB starts with the line :

   HOST-RESOURCES-MIB DEFINITIONS ....

The items in the host resources MIB are correctly decoded when I do a walk.

I have changed the MIB I wrote to read :

   fourD-MIB DEFINITIONS ....

(The files I used for the agent are fourD.c & .h, and the compilation seems to pick these up fine).

I have noticed that if I do a make install on my host side applications, etc my MIB is not copied to the /usr/local/share/snmp/mibs directory. Copying it there myself did not make any difference.

Best regards
Steve
