that icon comes from font-awesome which we ship with netdisco. just to be sure
i doublechecked the woff file.

if it doesn't show up for you it is most likely a local issue:
* you have an adblocker active which blocks this
* you have tracking protection active in your browser
* you have a local version of font-awesome installed which doesn't include this
icon
* you've disabled remote fonts in your browser

tested on windows in both normal & private browsing mode with:
* firefox 91.0
* chrome 92.0.4515.131
* edge chromium

does your browser give any errors in web dev mode? (f12 to activate that in
most browsers)

Thanks for this - I don't think they have SNMP access but was curious as to why
they don't show a wireless access point or wireless client icon. Though I just
noticed there's no actual icon for wireless access point.

Now, the next issue is there anyway to get the System Name to populate and be
searchable? The info does show up in LLDP on the switch but doesn't seem to be
grabbed by Netdisco. Same goes for phones which do include their extension

System Name: regDN 1234,MINET_6920
System Name: Test_AP

Thanks - Ricardo.

Hi,

You shouldn't need to mess with wap_platforms or wap_capabilities, if the APs
are fairly modern.

This is more likely that Netdisco doesn't recognise them as devices or they are
not responding to SNMP sufficiently. This is why the inaccessible icon ...
nothing to do with AP and more to do with device discovery.

Simplest approach is to ignore them and allow the AP clients to appear on the
upstream switch port:

Figure I ask before reinventing the wheel. Our Aruba APs don't seem to be
recognized as access points. They only show a device is inaccessible icon. No
entries for discover_waps so default of true should be in effect.

For example, c_platform returns "ArubaOS (MODEL: 315), Version Aruba AP"

Tried adding the whole string to test to deployment.yml but doesn't seem to
work:

wap_platforms:
 - 'ArubaOS (MODEL: 315), Version Aruba AP'

Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.
