Hi Muris

A couple of things I can think of. First, for Cisco there is a setting to
control whether the stack is discovered as individual items or one:
https://github.com/netdisco/netdisco/wiki/Vendor-Tips#report-cisco-as-single-device-instead-of-stacked-37xx29xxetc

I wonder if there is the same for H3C. Second, this setting is the one
which is aborting your discovery:
https://github.com/netdisco/netdisco/wiki/Configuration#snmp_field_protection

You can change it to force the job to continue, although lack of Serial is
a bit weird and I would want to dig further.
(for example change to '!group:__ANY__' to suppress the function)

Hope that helps,
Oliver.

I have an issue where Cisco 1100 series routers are not reporting connected
mac's/ip addresses on ports, Eg the C1113 version.

I noticed in the debug for macsuck, it says Vlan 1 and 10 are not in use by any
port skipping, but they are actually in use and configured on the port.. so
something doesnt seem right.

Maybe someone else has the same issue? As a comparison ive compared the C1113
and C897 routers (the previous models) where it works.

debug snmp reader cache warm: [10.x.x.x]
debug [10.x.x.x:161] try_connect with ver: 2, class:
SNMP::Info::Layer3::CiscoSwitch, comm:
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck - VLANs: 1,10,1002,1003,1004,1005
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck VLAN 1/default - not in use by any port - skipping.
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck VLAN 10/Data_LAN - not in use by any port - skipping.
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck VLAN 1002 - skipped by macsuck_no_vlan config
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck VLAN 1003 - skipped by macsuck_no_vlan config
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck VLAN 1004 - skipped by macsuck_no_vlan config
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck VLAN 1005 - skipped by macsuck_no_vlan config
debug [10.x.x.x] reindexing to vlan 0 (ver: 2, class:
SNMP::Info::Layer3::CiscoSwitch)
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck - 0 updated forwarding table entries
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck - removed 0 fwd table entries to archive
debug -> run worker main/wirelessnodes/100
debug => running workers for phase: late
debug -> run worker late/hooks/0
debug [10.x.x.x] hooks - 0 queued

As a comparison a Cisco 897 Router, the previous model works fine

debug macsuck: running with timeout 600s
debug => running workers for phase: check
debug -> run worker check/base/0
debug Macsuck is able to run.
debug => running workers for phase: main
debug -> run worker main/nodes/100
debug snmp reader cache warm: [10.x.x.x]
debug [10.x.x.x:161] try_connect with ver: 2, class: SNMP::Info::Layer3::Cisco,
comm:
debug [10.x.x.x:161] try_connect with ver: 2, new class:
SNMP::Info::Layer3::CiscoSwitch, comm:
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck - VLANs: 1,100,1002,1003,1004,1005
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck VLAN 1002 - skipped by macsuck_no_vlan config
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck VLAN 1003 - skipped by macsuck_no_vlan config
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck VLAN 1004 - skipped by macsuck_no_vlan config
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck VLAN 1005 - skipped by macsuck_no_vlan config
debug [10.x.x.x] reindexing to vlan 1 (ver: 2, class:
SNMP::Info::Layer3::CiscoSwitch)
debug [10.x.x.x] reindexing to vlan 100 (ver: 2, class:
SNMP::Info::Layer3::CiscoSwitch)
debug [10.x.x.x] reindexing to vlan 0 (ver: 2, class:
SNMP::Info::Layer3::CiscoSwitch)
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck - port GigabitEthernet2 vlan 1 : 1 nodes
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck - port GigabitEthernet7 vlan 1 : 1 nodes
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck - port GigabitEthernet3 vlan 1 : 1 nodes
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck - port GigabitEthernet1 vlan 1 : 1 nodes
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck - port GigabitEthernet5 vlan 1 : 1 nodes
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck - port GigabitEthernet0 vlan 1 : 1 nodes
debug [10.x.x.x] macsuck - 6 updated forwarding table entries
