ok, i've tried this out myself for 2 weeks now... i would like to
insert very simple rules into an chain like this...
iptables -A a_test_chain -s . -d . -j RETURN
i've written a small C program which creates the chains, but how
to add an entry is getting to me, i first tried

Should it be
if (r-max.tcp.port != r-min.tcp.port)
instead of
if (r/max.tcp.port != r-min.tcp.port)
