IRAQ ROADSIDE BOMB PARTS CAME FROM MIAMI AND WERE SHIPPED TO DUBAI AND THEN
INTO IRAN

Indictment: Iraq bomb parts came from South Florida; Roadside bombs used
against U.S. troops in Iraq were built by Iranians, with high-tech parts
exported by South Florida companies, according to a federal indictment returned
in Miami on September 11th.

U.S. officials say electronic parts shipped by South Floridians were used to
make roadside bombs planted by anti-U.S. forces in Iraq.

A federal grand jury in Miami returned the 13-count indictment on Sept. 11 and
unsealed it on Wednesday. Included in the charges are conspiracy, violations of
the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and the United States Iran
Embargo, and making false statements to federal agencies in connection with the
export of thousands of U.S. goods to Iran.

Sixteen foreigners and overseas businesses were charged in Miami on Wednesday
with illegally supplying U.S.-made electronic parts to Iran for producing
explosives to kill American soldiers fighting in the Iraq War, federal
authorities said. At a press conference Wednesday, FOX News learned that the
defendants are accused of ordering over 12,000 microchips to be used as IED
triggers from U.S. manufacturers and shipping them to the "middle countries."
Since the American suppliers were deemed unwitting accomplices, they have not
been charged.

Charged in the indictment are Iranian nationals Ali Akbar Yahya, Farrokh Nia
Yaghmaei, Bahman Ghandi, Farshid Gillardian, Isaac Gillardian and Ahmad Rahzad
Majid Seif as well as Kaam Chee Mun of Malaysia and Djamshid Nezhad of Germany.

The corporations charged include Dubai-based businesses Mayrow General Trading,
Atlinx Electronics, Micatic General Trading, Madjico Micro Electronics and
Al-Faris. Neda Industrial Group, an Iran-based business and Eco Biochem Sdn BHD
and Vast Solution Sdn BHD, both Malaysian businesses, were also named. Several
of the companies fall under Iranian state control.

Mayrow General Trading, Majidco Micro Electronics, Atlinx Electronics, Micatic
General Trading are all the exact same company and all are located in the same
building and use the same PO Box number in Dubai see here.

Knowledge of their activity as to that of Mayrow General Trading and its
related entities have acquired electronic components and devices capable of
being used to construct Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) was known in June
of 2006.

These commodities have been, and may continue to be, employed in IEDs or other
explosive devices used against Coalition Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, as
seen in the Federal Register: as of June 5, 2006.

WHAT TOOK THE US GOVERNMENT TWO YEARS AND 3 MONTHS TO SHUT THIS OPERATION DOWN ?

The computer chips and other high-tech goods -- made in South Florida and other
regions of the country -- were used by Iranian-controlled companies to make
roadside bombs, federal officials said. The chips play an integral role in
triggering the bombs, known as improvised explosive devices, or IEDs.

The IEDs have been a major cause of death and injuries to U.S. soldiers
fighting in Iraq.''We cannot allow American-made goods to threaten our soldiers
abroad,'' said U.S. Attorney R. Alexander Acosta, who said that the part
numbers on the U.S.-made microchips matched those found on unexploded IEDs in
Iraq.

Still, officials could not tie any of the illegal exports cited in the Miami
case to actual deaths on the battlefield.None of the eight individuals -- who
were indicted on the seventh anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks --
has been arrested, but U.S. authorities will be seeking their extradition.

The indictment, unsealed Wednesday, spans 2004 through the present. It stems
from an investigation led by the Commerce Department that exposed a global
network selling U.S.-made ''dual use'' goods to Iran.In 2005, investigators
found an American-made computer circuit in an unexploded roadside bomb in Iraq.
Through serial numbers and shipping records, they traced the computer chip's
path from its manufacturer in California to Mayrow General Trading in Dubai,
according to an April New York Times article.

Mayrow General Trading was among the eight companies named in the Miami
indictment Wednesday.

Federal Register: June 5, 2006....General Order Concerning Mayrow General
Trading and Related Entities. The United States Government, including the
United States Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS),
has come into the possession of information giving reason to believe, based on
specific and articulable facts, that Mayrow General Trading and its related
entities, Micatic General Trading; Majidco Micro Electronics; Atlinx
Electronics; Micro Middle East Electronics; Narinco; F.N. Yaghmaei; and H.
Ghasir, have acquired electronic components and devices capable of being used
to construct Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). These commodities have been,
and may continue to be, employed in IEDs or other explosive devices used
against Coalition Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Cited as illegal export sales in the indictment: 12,000 Microchip brand
micro-controllers, 5,000 integrated circuits and about 345 global positioning
systems.Microchip-brand micro-controllers are computer chips that could be used
in household electronics or to make IED triggers.
