This is a crucial point. The Obama campaign, the
Democratic Party and others must
get out there and spread the word to all those on
the wrong side of the digital divide.

>From Mary Mancini:

Mark,

The state also have an online database that New Yorkers can check:

If they'd rather call, they can find the number
of their county election commission--
<http://www.elections.state.ny.us/CountyBoards.html->http://www.elections.state.ny.us/CountyBoards.html--or

call information, and ask
for the number of their county's election commission.

But as I'm writing this I realize that we can
easily spread the word about all this among
those with access to the Internet. But what about
those people not on-line? Does anyone
in New York have any ideas on how to get the word
out to people without computers
and/or Internet access?

Mary

Subject: [MCM] New Yorkers, call to see if you've been purged!
To:

>From Stephanie Low:

Over 1.5 million NYS voters have been purged and
won't know it till they get to their polling
place.

They'll be able to vote only by provisional ballot.

In NYC, the number to call is 866 868 3692 to
find out if you're still "Active" and have not
been "flagged."

To do your civic duty, get this message out
however you can--email, print and post it.
