Hey, everybody. I've been away from home for a while, but had a chance last night to listen for nocturnal migrants over my house in eastern Boulder County, Colorado.
During nautical dawn, I heard three (3) Chipping Sparrows fly over. Chipping Sparrows do not breed in my neighborhood, but, rather in the mountains to the west. By mid-July, their molt-migration is briskly underway, with the most straightforward detections being of migrants on calm nights with a light west wind.
