All work necessary to work in containerized ceph/ganesha will be backported to 2.6, as it's ready. This means that some version 2.6.x (likely low, maybe 2 or 3) will be fully ready for containerized deployment. This also means that 2.7.0 will work out-of-the-box, since the work will be done

Yes, 2.7 will be compatible with mimic, and likely with luminous as well, since features for Ganesha tend to be backported in Ceph. The only major work I'm aware of coming for Ceph/Ganesha is HA on OpenShift/Kuberneties for FSAL_CEPH, and full in-place read/write for FSAL_RGW. I'm sure lots of
