I am an older rider, but a newbee to the Nighthawks. I am in the middle of
restoring an '82 650SC (single cam with 28,000 miles) bike for fun and
because I liked the look. But now I am wondering if I shouldn't be putting
my efforts into the 83 and newer bikes because of the newer technology
I'm doing my '83, I think the newer technology is the way to go.

with them needing a bit more regular love they are just as reliable. The
downside is that you have a one year only bike and vendors don't know it is
often incompatible with the standard 650.
