$50+shipping would be a fair price if that works for your friend.

Are you looking for the whole thing or just a particular component? I've
got a busted one but some of the individual gauges and lights are fine.

The Hodge mod is a must then, unless you go for the jet kit. I have a jet kit
with a k air filter and the Mac exhaust. Your fuel economy will suffer
though. I get around 42 in the city. Highway? 36 to 40 depending on how you
ride. Of course the higher the rpm, the worse the mpg. I would start
I have the V 4-1 on my 750. I like the sound, and there is a bit of
increase in performance. I could probably get a lot more if I rejet the
carbs. It is also significantly lighter than the stock.
Allen and I shoot a video after installing although sound quality is not
very good:

And yet - people seem to be flocking to it - I haven't heard any sort of
flack about the name - maybe its because they keep pushing the 'Since 1901'
slogan.

If you're only considering a new exhaust because you want your bike to be
louder, you might consider removing the baffles from your stock pipes.

Sometimes I use a helmet lock to secure the helmet, but instead of leaving
it hanging there, I'll secure it up on the back seat so it's not sitting
over the hot exhaust.

The problem with putting a helmet over the mirror is that the mirror can
damage the inner lining of the helmet. If you're going to do this on a
regular basis, I recommend you mount round mirrors. At least it won't have
corners that poke your comfort lining and possibly damage the layers
I can't remember the last time I used a helmet lock, but I have used it to
lock the D-ring on the strap to my motorcycle. I figure that if anyone
wants to cut the strap to steal my cheap smelly helmet and render it
useless (unable to fasten), he can have it. Usually, if I'm not going to

Macs are cheap, but will rust easily. Vance and Hines makes a nice one though.

Here here! Where I live and work (and considering the age/style of my
helmets) I just drop it over the mirror, unsecured. Actually I do that
almost everywhere for short stops like lunch.
Would be cool if there was a 'D"-ring lock built into the handle bar or on
the end of a grip, for those of
Have any of you guys put on an aftermarket exhaust? Potentially looking to
change the exhaust to make it a little louder.
