So, on my 84 CB650sc right side muffler, the PO seems to have drilled a
small hole right in the center of the baffle. Just on the right side, not
the left... I have mine wrapped up in plastic in the shed so I "borrowed" a
photo off the googles.
The red dot represents the approximate location

Good question Lar... Theoretically I could have managed a little wiggle
room if it was just the carbs I wanted. But then there's this... Engine
comes out on Monday. Full rebuild. Wish me luck..

My first guess is the spacer that goes on the fuel tank bolt under the seat.
Easy to miss while removing the gas tank.
