[Nighthawk Lovers] Random Muffler question....

So, on my 84 CB650sc right side muffler, the PO seems to have drilled a small hole right in the center of the baffle. Just on the right side, not the left... I have mine wrapped up in plastic in the shed so I "borrowed" a photo off the googles. The red dot represents the approximate location

Good question Lar... Theoretically I could have managed a little wiggle room if it was just the carbs I wanted. But then there's this... Engine comes out on Monday. Full rebuild. Wish me luck..
